We specialize in international student applications to US and European universities at the undergraduate and graduate school level.
Working with students one-on-one via Skype, we provide comprehensive counseling to assist in the search for the right college or university, based on the student’s academic interests, extracurricular activities, geographical preferences, and budget.
We help our students stay on top of deadlines, complete the Common Application, define essay topics, tone and approach, review re-writes and complete their applications.
Counseling is offered throughout the academic year.

I came to know American Prep Group through a friend of my parents, whose son was accepted into Duke University after months of tutoring with Molly and Fernando. After the first meeting, I decided to accept their advice and we started our relationship through math and English classes.
After months sharpening my skills in the “language of rational structured thought” and in analytical writing, I was able to successfully take the GRE in September, 2012. Subsequently, the hardest part of my application started: gathering all the materials and writing my statement of academic purpose. At this point, Fernando’s tutoring was paramount. For three months, we constantly worked on every aspect of my application—C.V, Transcripts, Test Scores, Interviews, Letters of Recommendation, etc. However, I can’t forget Dr. Laing and Molly’s contribution, for they constantly revised and commented on my work, as well.
In the end, all our hard work paid off. I was accepted into the Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences at the University of Chicago with Financial and Housing Aid. I can’t thank American Prep Group enough for helping me with all the aspects of my applications. Thus, I strongly recommend American Prep Group to all the Brazilian students who want to pursue a degree in the United States, but don’t know how to answer the many questions and how to tackle the various problems that arise during the application process.
If you have any questions, don’t worry: Fernando and Molly have the answers.
